So many business owners ask me what they can do to market their business and almost always the answer is that they need to create more content. Every time I say that I feel like I'm the roofer with a leaky roof.
I'm a marketer in the sense that I do marketing for other businesses yet I don't do marketing for my own. So I can completely empathize when business owners give me push back. One of the best in the world when it comes to practicing what they preach and creating content at scale is Gary Vaynerchuk. I've followed Gary since before he started Vayner Media. In fact I even shared some emails back and forth trying to sale him some software.

The latter is full of case studies describing normal everyday people who read Crush It and took massive action. The process is pretty straight forward create phenomenal stand out content in any of the given platforms; Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, Snapchat, or now Musical.ly. Next you continue to do that for years until one day the market tells you whether or not you are good enough. I think for me there are a number of things standing in the way. This is me just being transparent and honest. Here are some reasons holding me back.
So if you are someone who thinks like me I think the first place you need to start is by writing down each of your specific reasons you haven't started. Whether it's starting a business in general, creating content for your business, or building your personal brand, I believe the practice of getting clear of what is in your way will help you a ton.
